Luz Rivas

As a state legislator and electrical engineer, Luz Rivas has an unmatched understanding of the dangers of scam policies like carbon capture and sequestration, and she has the technical expertise needed to serve as the spokesperson we need in the nation’s capital where, unfortunately, far too many elected officials remain uneducated on the issue.

Summer Lee

Summer Lee is a lifelong resident of southwest Pennsylvania. Before arriving in Congress in 2022, Summer was a state legislator and social justice organizer, so she has spent years fighting pollution in Allegheny County. Food & Water Action helped her stop a fracking well in her hometown of Braddock, PA and supported her efforts to end fossil fuel handouts.

In Congress, she has fought to end fracking, pass a Green New Deal, provide clean energy jobs, and to ensure clean air and water for all, especially marginalized communities.

Bonnie Watson Coleman

Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman has served New Jersey’s 15th Congressional District since 2015. She has been a champion for the environment. In 2023, she was the only member of New Jersey’s congressional delegation to come out in opposition to the LNG export terminal proposed for Gibbstown, NJ.

Representative Watson Coleman is the lead sponsor of the WATER Act, the landmark 21st-century legislation that we need to restore federal support and help protect clean water. The WATER Act is the only permanent solution to our nation’s water funding woes, providing $35 billion each year to restore our public water infrastructure.

Ro Khanna

Khanna is the lead sponsor of the Farm System Reform Act, which would phase out factory farms by 2040, free contract farmers from their factory farm contracts, and transition our food system towards resilient, sustainable, and humane practices. Khanna is also co-lead sponsor of the WATER Act — the landmark 21st-century legislation that we need to restore federal support and help protect clean water.

Dr. Clarence Lam

Dr. Clarence Lam has a long track record of fighting for the environment.

In his time in the state legislature, Lam introduced legislation to ban fracking chemicals, regulate the pesticide chlorpyrifos, stop oil trains from running through Baltimore, and strengthen Maryland’s Renewable Portfolio Standard.

Dr. Lam’s background as a medical doctor and public health specialist will provide a much-needed voice of authority in Congress to speak on the impacts of pollution. In endorsement interviews, Lam committed to supporting a ban on oil and liquefied natural gas exports, as well as fighting climate scams like carbon capture.

Laura Friedman

Laura Friedman has been a climate champion in the California legislature. Friedman has a long track record of protecting Californians from drought, climate change, and toxic chemicals. She is the only top-tier candidate in the race to sign the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge.
