Brian Everett
New Jersey – District 4
Brian Everett is a lifelong South Jerseyan who has been instrumental in environmental and pro-democracy organizing. Brian was part of the successful organizing to oppose water privatization in his hometown of Gloucester Township. He was also part of the statewide organizing for a fair ballot in New Jersey. Brian works at Rutgers University in Camden where he is the Assistant Dean of the Honors College and the College of Arts and Sciences and is active in his union.
As a legislator, Brian will work to protect public water systems from corporate takeover which remains a looming problem, especially in South Jersey. Brian is also committed to advancing critical legislation such as the Climate Superfund Act and strong Clean Energy Standards. Given his background in both activism and union organizing, Brian would be an integral force of a just transition here in New Jersey.
