Jamil Simon
Jamil Simon is an attorney, real estate advisor, and nonprofit director with more than 35 years of experience addressing complex property and organizational issues. His work has centered on restructurings, operational and financial cleanups, joint venture reorganizations, distressed situations, and the stewardship of complicated real estate and business assets.
Over the course of his career, he has also led the cleanup and redevelopment of more than a dozen environmentally contaminated sites in five states and Puerto Rico, working at the intersection of land use, environmental liability, regulation, and long-term stewardship. He has served as a director of the Canadian Automobile Protection Association, a consumer-protection and automobile safety nonprofit, and helped lead its successful restructuring and reorganization in 2023. Earlier in his career, he was a law intern at Public Citizen and an associate at Paul, Weiss. He is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School.
