Sacramento City Councilwoman Mai Vang is the daughter of Hmong refugees. Her progressive platform includes strong commitments on climate and water. She has also signed the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge. Vang is challenging longtime incumbent Doris Matsui, who has accepted contributions from electrical utilities like PG&E, as well as from agricultural corporations.
