Vonetta Hawkins

New Jersey – District 4

Vonetta Hawkins is a lifelong South Jerseyan who has worked in the banking and finance industry. Vonetta has served as a leader on multiple boards focused on issues of affordable housing and racial equity initiatives. She is passionate about making housing more affordable for all, recognizing that housing is a fundamental human right. Vonetta has committed to get New Jersey to 100% clean, renewable energy and will champion critical policy solutions like the New Jersey Climate Superfund Act. Like her running mate Brian Everett, she is a resident of Gloucester Township, where she opposed the planned corporate takeover of a public water system. As a legislator, Vonetta will be an advocate for safe, affordable public water for all.
