Today, Food & Water Action announced its endorsement of Chris Espinosa for California’s 26th Congressional District ahead of the June 2nd primary election.

The group – a national leader in climate, food, water, and democracy advocacy – is backing Chris Espinosa, who has a decades-long history of fighting for our health, our communities, and our environment. Among other efforts, Espinosa was a leader in responding to the Flint water crisis. He is the only candidate in this race to have signed the No Fossil Fuel pledge.

With the endorsement, Tomás Rebecchi, Central Coast Organizing Manager at Food & Water Action issued the following statement:

“We are thrilled to offer our endorsement for Chris Espinosa for California District 26 who has proudly displayed his progressive values, including supporting a moratorium on data centers and legislation that would hold polluters accountable. He has stood up to the corporate interests that put profits above our health and environment. Chris is the true climate champion in this race who will listen to the people he serves.”
