Los Angeles — Today, Food & Water Action announced its endorsement of Sarah Rascón for State Senate, District 26. 

The group – a national leader in climate, food, water, and democracy advocacy – is backing Sarah Rascón, who has a history of working on climate issues in California and has a strong list of progressive accomplishments. In addition, Rascón has committed to holding Big Tech accountable, while her opponent has taken money from a Big Tech PAC.

With the endorsement, Andrea Vega, Senior Organizer at Food & Water Action issued the following statement: 

“Californians need leaders who will boldly stand up to Big Tech, especially in light of the wave of data center proposals popping up across the state. Sarah Rascón has committed to holding Big Tech accountable and we need leadership like that in the legislature. That’s why we are proud to endorse her.”
