Los Angeles — Today, Food & Water Action announced its endorsement of Nithya Raman for Los Angeles Mayor. 

The group – a national leader in climate, food, water, and democracy advocacy – is backing Nithya Raman for Los Angeles Mayor due to her track record of being strong on climate issues during her time on the Los Angeles City Council and putting affordability front and center in her campaign. Among other commitments, Raman has supported a moratorium on new data centers in Los Angeles.  

With the endorsement, Andrea Vega, Senior Organizer at Food & Water Action issued the following statement: 

“At a time where Los Angeles desperately needs bold leadership in City Hall, we are proud to endorse Nithya Raman for Los Angeles Mayor. Los Angeles needs leaders that put affordability first and are willing to address how the climate crisis is impacting Angelenos.”
