Los Angeles — Today, Food & Water Action announced its endorsement of Faizah Malik for LA City Council District 11 ahead of the June 2nd primary election. 

The group – a national leader in climate, food, water, and democracy advocacy – is backing Faizah Malik who has expressed opposition to the city’s misguided efforts to invest in a hydrogen economy over true climate solutions due to the risks to ratepayers and our environment. 

With the endorsement, Los Angeles Organizing Manager at Food & Water Action Andrea Vega issued the following statement: 

“The Los Angeles City Council needs a member who is clear-eyed about the risks of hydrogen for our city and represents the health and safety of Angelenos over corporate profits. We are proud to endorse Faizah.”
